The Monster and Me: A Journey Through Fear, Isolation, and G-d’s Call
The search for eternal life is not just about theological ideas—it is about experiencing the presence of G-d in ways that transform the heart and mind. In Luke 10:25-28, Yeshua reveals that eternal life is not merely a distant hope but a present reality, unlocked through wholehearted love for G-d and others. Yet, for many of us, this journey is marked by moments of deep fear, silence, and—if we are willing to listen—a divine call that breaks through it all.
I have shared some of my childhood stories and encounters with G-d, moments that shaped how I understand His presence, His absence, and His pursuit of us. My first encounter came at the age of six, but it was not the warm embrace of the Divine I had expected. Instead, I was met with a horror so overwhelming that it shook me to my core—a confrontation with something beyond human comprehension. It was an experience that would linger, coloring my view of G-d for years.
As time passed, isolation crept in, and my heart grew cold toward G-d. The passion I once had dimmed, replaced by silence and distance. But at the age of 18, the silence was shattered—I heard G-d audibly call me back. It was undeniable, a voice that pierced through all my defenses, a summons I could not ignore. That moment changed everything, reigniting the fire that had nearly gone out.
I share these experiences in my lesson, “The Monster and Me,” where I explore the fear of encountering G-d, the struggle of spiritual detachment, and the overwhelming grace of being called back into His presence. The battle for eternal life is not just about what we believe—it is about hearing, responding, and allowing G-d’s voice to transform our reality.
Listen to my story in this audio, and may it encourage you to seek G-d’s presence in the quiet, the storm, and the unexpected places where He calls us home.
