Yeshua’s Teaching on Eternal Life: The Abundance of G-d in the Heart
In Luke 10:25-28, we see a revealing moment in Yeshua’s life where he is asked, “What must I do to inherit eternal life?” His response is not a new doctrine but a return to the essence of Torah itself—“Love Hashem your G-d with all your heart, soul, strength, and mind, and love your neighbor as yourself.” This exchange highlights that eternal life is not merely about the afterlife but about living in alignment with G-d’s will here and now, where the fullness of divine abundance resides in the heart of one who walks in true faithfulness (emunah).
In short, this lesson reveals that eternal life is not simply a future reward but a present reality, where one who embraces G-d’s truth experiences His abundance in the heart. When one fully integrates the Shema and the command to love others, the Ruach HaKodesh shapes the heart, creating a life overflowing with divine purpose, holiness, and connection to G-d’s abundance. This is not a passive state but an active engagement—studying Torah, performing mitzvot, and cultivating chesed (kindness). Yeshua affirms that eternal life is not just about existence beyond death but about a transformed reality, where the heart beats in rhythm with the Divine Presence, filled with His endless light and truth.
