The Chief end of man is to Glorify G-d and enjoy Him For Eternity.
Living in Constant Divine Passion
The Chief End of Shabbat is a continuous Divine connection and fellowship lesson.
Yesha’yahu 59:16-17 59:15, Eph 6:11-18; Luqas – Lk 24:49; Mark 9:2ff
Yesha’yahu 59:15
Ephesians 6:10-12 Finally, my brothers, be clothed (strong) in the Lord and in the strength of His might. Put on the whole armor of G-d so that you may be able to stand against the deceits(methods) of the adversary. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against authorities, against the rulers of the cosmos, ruling the present age of darkness, against spiritual wickedness among the heavenly spheres.
Ephesians 6:13-15 Therefore, take upon yourselves the whole armor of G-d, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Therefore, stand, being equipped with the knowledge (Da’at) truth, being clothed about with a breastplate of righteousness/generosity and your walk ordered by the restorative Mesorah. In all circumstances, take upon yourselves the shield of faithful obedience, with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming darts of the Yetser HaRa (evil inclination).
Ephesians 6:17-18 And take the head-covering of atonement, (salvation – -Yeshua) and the circumcision knife of the Oral Torah, which is the Torah of G-d, praying always the prayer (i.e. Amidah) and supplication in accordance to the Siddur, and guarding this very thing with all reverence and supplication for all Tsadiqim.
The Mantle (Tallit) as Prophetic Authority
- 2 Kings 2:8-14 – Elijah’s mantle (aderet) is passed to Elisha, signifying the continuation of prophetic power. The tallit in this context conveys Divine transmission from teacher to disciple.
- The Zohar (I:66a) states that prophets were wrapped in their mantles (Tallit’s) as a sign of being clothed in Ruach HaKodesh.
Hakham Shaul’s Connection to Isaiah 59:17
- Ephesians 6:13-17 – Hakham Shaul explicitly borrows the imagery from Isaiah 59:17, applying it not to military warfare, but to spiritual endurance.
- Romans 13:12 – “Put on the armor of light.”
- Galatians 3:27 – “For all of you who were baptized into Messiah have clothed yourselves with Messiah.”
- This directly aligns with Isaiah 61:10, where being wrapped in salvation means being wrapped in Mashiach’s righteousness.
The White Garments of the Redeemed
- Revelation 3:5 – “He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments.”
- Revelation 19:8 – The bride of Mashiach is clothed in fine linen, representing the righteous acts of the saints.
- This completes the connection from Isaiah 61:10—those who are redeemed are wrapped in Divine righteousness.
