Emanations of G-d’s Virtuous Power

The Beginning:

Introducing “Emanations of G-d’s Virtuous Power” and the Foundations of Sacred Word Study

Many have asked how Emanations of G-d’s Virtuous Power began. Here is the original word study that started the journey.

This post presents the opening chapter of my book Emanations of G-d’s Virtuous Power. It explains how a decades-long word study of the Nazarean Codicil developed into a systematic exploration of the Divine attributes that empower human holiness. Readers interested in the intersection of language, Torah, and spiritual discipline will find here the foundation of that work.

Emanations of G-d's Virtuous Power

The Beginning

This book began as a word study which began in 1994/95. Because of my deep–seated desire to study the Bible, I was given this word study on the power words of the Nazarean Codicil[1] to develop and present G-d’s[2] power. I began the study and was immediately overwhelmed with the task. The “word study” was fragmented, and many aspects were nothing more than word lists with vague ideas in marginal notes. Over the years, we have accumulated vast amounts of data collected in computer files and pages of printed notebooks. Therefore, we did not set out to create books on the subject material at the beginning, as those documents were the seminal foundations we are now trying to present.

Time has given us the ability and knowledge to build and understand the best models of G-d’s power and our interaction with those models. We have been asked several times to teach these lessons and have taught many lessons to the point of great moderation. This is because the power of G-d is NOT a toy or wonderful teaching to disperse to those who do not live lives of pure spirituality and holiness. We will develop these ideas so the student can understand our meaning and purpose for generating these materials throughout this book. In short, the person who seeks to use the Miraculous, Virtuous Power of G-d must live a life of pure G-dliness. Self-indulgence and fame seekers will only be frustrated and disappointed when their ego blocks every path to use this power in selfish and egocentric ways.

[1] We use “Nazarene Codicil” as a title for the so-called “New Testament” to circumvent the idea that the New replaced what has been called the “Old Testament. The correct title for the “Hebrew Scriptures” is TaNaKh meaning the Torah, Prophets and writings. The Nazarean Codicil is attached to the TaNakh as a description for the works of Messiah which in no way undermines or diminishes the TaNaKh.

[2] Throughout this Book the name of “God” is written “G-d” unless it is in “Scripture” or a quote. This is in reverence for that name. This takes into account the Jewish practice of substituting the Name of G-d with a synonym to keep from Blasphemy. Furthermore, we differentiate between the Hebrew name “Elohim” and the Y H V H by using “G-d” for Elohim and “The Eternal G-d” for Y H V H.
