Inspirational Thought for Adar 17 – Preparing for Freedom
We have crossed the threshold of Purim’s hidden miracles and now press forward toward Pesach, the Festival of Freedom. But true freedom is not just release from bondage—it is the refinement of the soul, the stripping away of all leaven (chametz)—pride, ego, and all that distances us from the Divine.
As I study the crossing of the sea and the Messiah, remember redemption is not merely about escape but about transformation. Just as Israel walked through the sea on dry land, stepping into faith before deliverance was revealed, so too must we walk forward in trust, knowing that the path to freedom requires leaving behind the weight of Egypt—the illusions of self, fear, and doubt.
Let this week be a time of deep searching, a preparation for standing before the King of Kings—not only at Pesach but ultimately at Shavuot, when we receive the Torah anew. The sea only parts for those who step in with faith.
