Covenants #8

‍‍11 Shevat 5769 - February 04, 2009 By: Dr. Walter Oakley Category: Torah Focus

I begin this lesson by taking a look at Yermiyahu (Jeremiah) 31:31. I gave a little background to the text for context.  Then, I look at the terminology of the text pointing out the different phrases uses with regards to HaShem and G-d.

I also look at the creative process as a means of understanding covanantal witnesses. If the Torah is to be eternal as we have learned how can G-d establish a “New Covenant” and abrogate the Torah?

I look at the idea of chesed as a means of understanding the covenantal process.

I look at the power of blessing as a means of connecting to G-d.

I conclude with the essence of time in relation to the festivals and our relation to them.
