Israel and War

Israel and War

Where do we go from here?

Prevalent in many minds are questions as to “what G-d is saying?” Secondly, where do we go from here?  Are we at the end of existence? Will WWIII take place soon?

One thing we must always know is that G-d is in control. Therefore, the events of history, wars famines, etc., are the result of our disobedience to His voice and wishes. We cannot refuse the standards of G-d. Our disobedience is not necessarily punished by the rod of discipline. Firstly, G-d gives freedom of choice to do as we please. Secondly, if we act contrary to his will we always will act in union with evil or the Sitra Achra. When we refuse G-d commands we will open the door to the enemy’s destructive force. In this case, the enemy is energized by our negativity. Therefore, rather than strengthening the positive side we fuel the Sitra Achra. When this type of calamity happens the desire of the Sitra Achra releases its fury on us because we still have a measure of “righteousness.” Thus, in Israel now we see this type of activity. The enemy is energized because we have forfeited our love for G-d. We have traded it for materialistic physicality. You must first know that being a convert, I am not criticizing my brothers but myself. Could Israel’s calamity at present be my fault?

Have we waited too long to do teshubah?

If you were to ask me what I think the problem is I would begin by saying that the current situation is a lack of fidelity to G-d. Therefore, G-d allows us to see the eventual degradation of evil in seeing the ruthless depravity of the Hamas. Would we allow ourselves to sink to this level of degeneracy?

1 Tsefet – Pet 4:19 The time has come for judgment to begin in the house of God. If judgment begins with us, what will the result be for those who disobey the Mesorah of the Torah?

Thus, it would seem evident that G-d is calling for a greater commitment to the Jewish Standard of life. G-d is calling to his people to stand up and eschew evil. This is the occupation of the Sons of G-d. The destruction of evil begins in the realm of spirituality. However, the Biblical figure of Yehoshua – Joshua shows that there will also be a physical confrontation with the enemy. It is inevitable. David’s battle with Goliath is a testimony to the inner strength of Yisrael. Yet if we do not tap that power, if we do not exercise that ability, we will experience the holocaust in a far greater manner. The testimony of these two men is a witness to how some evil must be confronted. While the Jewish people stand at the forefront of the battle against the Sirta Achra humanity by and large must wake from its slumber. If their righteous standards are not being upheld, they too will be subjected to the depravity of men like the Hamas. World War II brought the world to its knees. The recoil was a step towards righteousness. Given the armaments of the present era, we stand to see greater destruction than we ever have. Would the Hamas use nuclear weapons on Yisrael while there are Arabs living there? The answer is an absolute YES! This is because they would sacrifice anything for the destruction of the infidel. Mind you that is NOT the only people that they think of as Infidels. When the depravity has finished with one people they will most certainly move to the next gathering of Infidels, America! Yet no other nation is safe from this mentality. Interestingly the Jewish people have faced pogroms in Russia, Spain, Portugal, and many other regions. Places on the earth tried forced conversion. Recently there has been a regathering of these sacred Jewish Souls. Why is G-d re-gathering these, Souls?

The answer in short is the acceleration of G-d’s redemptive plan. This plan will bring those who pursue righteousness to the next plane of existence. This means that we are closer to the finalization of G-d’s redemptive plan. While there are those who will embrace it there will be those who will experience great fear. While I do not have any fear, I do have an overwhelming sorrow for the calamities that the world will experience in this time frame. And not having devoted lengthy study to these times I can still see the great work to be accomplished.

In Summary

Where do we go from here?

While there can be a lot of fingers pointing the message always begins at home. We need not focus on the shortcomings of others. The answer is simple enough. We must all begin by confronting the evil within. Every confrontation with evil is a diminishing of the negative energies equipping the Sitra Achra from operating. We can and most frequently confront the Sitra Achra in our circle of influence. Given the great manifestation of evil in our contemporary society we can be most effective within that circle.

We may not be called to the front line in battle with Hamas and other terrorist parties. However, when we look at Yisrael one thing stands out. They are called to the front lines because they possess special spiritual armaments per se. Thus, we should do our best to find ways to support Yisrael. Again, this can open the door to many possibilities. Prayer, financial support, and many other possibilities are things we should be doing at the bare minimum.

The intended goal is to repair the world and return it to G-d in the pristine condition we received it. In the eyes of some scholars, Rabbis, and teachers we need the help of Messiah. Exactly how these events will unfold remains a conjecture. Many teachers give us answers however, these answers can be hard to discern. Nevertheless, there is one positive answer we can give. Live every day to its fullest, seek the Kingdom (Governance of G-d through His appointed intermediaries, Rabbis, and Bate Din), and live as if each day were our last trying to accomplish all that you can in the process of destroying negativity.

Psalms 122: 6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem:

“May they prosper who love you.

7 May peace be within your walls,

And prosperity within your palaces.”

8 For the sake of my brothers and my friends,

I will now say, “May peace be within you.”

9 For the sake of the house of the Lord our God,

I will seek your good.

Mechanics of Spirituality

At present, I am writing the third book in this series of “Emanations of G-d’s Virtuous Power” that deals with all the Definitions and mechanics of the first two books. The exact title has not been established yet, but it deals with Spiritual Mechanics. It seeks to fill in the gaps and explain the mechanics in a more understandable way starting with layman terms and then progressing towards the deeper vocabulary. It also deals with clichés that are archaic and need modern Definitions.

The things I try to explain in this book are things like “walking in the spirit.” What does that really mean? What is spirituality?

I seek to answer these questions from a modern understanding without losing their importance.

The Spiritual Element

The “spiritual element” is injected into Adam’s telluric materials and rather than strictly being earthen, man is physical with an infusion of a “spiritual emanation from G-d.” Note that the breath – Neshamah is “blown” into the man with the power of the Ruach, breeze, wind, or Spirit. Thus, man becomes a “spiritual” being or a being animated by Ruach – blowing the Neshamah into telluric materials. Therefore, man is animated with a “spiritual element” of the Divine Eternal G-d.

The Rub

Q: #1 What is the true reward of the Y’mot HaMashiach?
Q: #2 What is the true and most important reward we will receive in the Y’mot HaMashiach and ultimately in the Olam HaBa?

Maimonides

The great Torah Scholar and Giant Maimonides in his “Essay on the Resurrection” shows us that the Olam HaBa will be …

(1) a carefree, sensually luxurious life in the Garden of Eden

(2) eternal prosperity and health in the messianic era

(3) resurrection of the dead to material yet immortal bliss

(4) health and wealth

Scholars have had a hard time understanding exactly what Maimonides was saying in his discussion on the Resurrection of the dead. And, there is a great deal left to be discussed on the matter.

The resurrection is, according to Maimonides a miracle. The body must decay in the Earth because it is earthly material and belongs to the mundane world.

Maimonides explains that the resurrection is a miracle in the following terms.

In syllogistic terms,

a. Resurrection is a miracle.

b. Miracles are a fundamental of the Law.

c. Resurrection is a fundamental of the Law.

Thus, how will it be possible for the resurrection of the dead if all the mundane material has returned to the earth and not suitable for a “spiritual body” for the Y’mot HaMashiach and ultimately the Oalm HaBa?

The Rub:

In the book of Yehudah (Jude) Michael the principle agent of G-d contended with the “adversary” i.e. the earth over the Body of Moshe Rabbenu. We might have heard the Earth saying the body is mine and the soul is G-d’s. It seems that the earth would not allow Michael to take the material body of Moshe Rabbenu. However, what was the real discrepancy?

Yehudah 1.9 But when Michael the principle Messenger of the Divine contended with the adversary for the body of Moshe Rabbenu, he did not attempt to bring condemnation against him, but said “The Lord rebuke you!”

It is evident that there was a discrepancy over the body. As pointed out above the adversary was the Earth. And as we have pointed out elsewhere that when G-d said, “Let us make man in our own image” He was speaking to the earth who had been invested with various powers an ability. The deeper question is, exactly what was the issue in the contention? I see an issue not fully discussed before us. When Michael wanted to take the body of Moshe, we opine that he opted for the whole body per se. Herein is his reason and a true point of contention. Moshe had been on the mountain with G-d on several occasions. We do not have data that tells us that he was there in that dimension only in spirit. Thus, it seems that Moshe Rabbenu entered the spiritual dimension body and all. As such his body bore the evidence and residue (the rub) of having entered and exited the spiritual world with his body. In essence, his body “rubbed” the spiritual world or was surrounded and swallowed up by the dimension of the Divine It was for this reason he had to veil his face.

Shemot (Exodus) 34.27 Then the LORD said to Moses, “Write down these words, for in accordance with these words I have made a covenant with you and with Israel.”28 So he was there with the LORD forty days and forty nights; he did not eat bread or drink water. And he wrote on the tablets the words of the covenant, the Ten Commandments. 29 It came about when Moses was coming down from Mount Sinai (and the two tablets of the testimony [were] in Moses’ hand as he was coming down from the mountain), that Moses did not know that the skin of his face shone because of his speaking with Him. 30 So when Aaron and all the sons of Israel saw Moses, behold, the skin of his face shone, and they were afraid to come near him.

Again, it seems evident here that Moshe Rabbenu was there in physical form, albeit this would take a great deal of discussion to fully understand. Perhaps we should see this picture as a reference to the Y’mot HaMashiach. Furthermore, there is a great deal of investigation necessary to determine how a man can live in an environment where he does not need food or water. And we may opine that this is an allegorical reference to the Day of Atonements (Yom Kippur). Nevertheless, our point here is the effect of the spiritual dimension has on the body of Moshe. The body as a mundane instrument is affected by the prolonged exposure to the spiritual realm and the Divine Presence. Thus, the body has been permeated with a material that is produced making it partly divine and partly physical. Man was made from the “dust of the earth” and the “spirit (breath) of G-d.” The merging of the two worlds within the body is a great mystery. However, the joining, mixture of the material and spiritual produces an element of spirituality in the physical body. While the spirit (Neshamah) is an interface between the body and the spirit there is an element of the union that is partly from both worlds. When the body participates in the obedience and practice of the mitzvoth it is an instrument of the spirit. The obvious desire we should possess is to participate in holy activity as much as possible. This is in and of itself true spirituality.

Regarding to the resurrection of the body:

During the period known as the “realm of souls” or the “world of souls” the body will be purged from all the negativity that we experienced and practiced while we are in the Olam HaZeh (this present dimension and time). This negativity must dissolve into the earth. This evacuation takes place with the death of the body or when the Neshamah leaves the body. It exits the body for the sake of this purification. It leaves when it knows that there will be no more righteous activity resulting positive reward and further development. It leaves at the ultimate peak for positive performance. The earth as an agent of the spiritual world dissolves the body through microscopic creatures and organisms who are themselves earthly. Such base lifeforms cannot consume spirituality. Thus, the spiritual nature of a man is evacuated through the air, or the spiritual dimension to the heavens returning to a place where it can be re-assembled as the new body of a man. Here we must say that we are not talking of the purely spiritual nature or elements that leaves causing the body to no longer be animated, energized, or alive. These are, as we stated above resident in the world of souls an intermediate realm between the already but not yet.

The element created from the mixture of holy and mundane that return to the spiritual dimension will be the body we are united with for the days of Messiah. The body has been through the process of disintegrating the negativity and the extraction of the holy elements we have fostered while living in the Ola m HaZeh.
