The Hebrew word for this week is “ma’al.” This week we look at the phrase “ma’al.”  Then we look at the root word עַל “Al.”  This word is loaded with lexical meaning covering three Strongs numbers and several TWOT headings.   However, this two lettered Hebrew word is very important.

The Hebrew word for this week is “Tachat.”  This week we look at tow words.  I lookat the word “asher” and the word “tachat.”  The word of the week is found in the Hebrew phrase “m’etachat.”  I also lool at it use in Shemot (Exodus) 19:17 where the B’nai Yisrael (Children of Yisrael) are said to stand at the “foot of the mountain” Har Sinai.

The Hebrew word for this week is “Asah.”  The word in our test is “vyasah.”   The Hebrew word is associated making, performing and doing.  I look at the lexical definitions in the Strong’s and TWOT.  Then I take a comparative look at “asah” in relation to “bara,” to create.

This program concludes our work on the sixth verse of the first chapter of Bereshit.

I work on the phrase “mavdeel” looking to the prefix and then the word itself and its lexical meanings.  This word will allow us to conclude the sixth verse of Bereshit chapter 1

This program continues our work on the sixth verse of the first chapter of Bereshit.

I work on the phrase “in the midst” (b’toch) explaining the word “tevek” which appears only a few times without a prefex.  In our contemporary phrase the word appears as a phrase with a prefix.

In this program I initiate the second part of  the discussion on the Biblical day. I begin to elaborate on the phrases that have been used to describe the creative process of the Biblical Day.  I look at the vocabulary of the final verse (5) as a means of knowing that the idea of evolution could never be true.   I finalize the idea of the creative process by looking at the words “erev” and “boker.”

A Taste of Hebrew #38 – Echad – One

I discuss in this program the Hebrew word “Echad” which is usually translated “one.”   Like the previous words with regards to the Biblical Day this word helps us further understand the Biblical cycle of the day.

However, this word is somewhat problematic when it is used as a phrase “yom echad.”   We discuss these probles and give lexical definitions for our words.
