In this class, we begin with Vayikra (Leviticus) 12:1-17. This passage lays the foundational instructions for childbearing. I have chosen to begin here with this passage because it illuminates the opening passage of the book of Luke.
Then I begin reading the book of Luke looking at it from its original Jewish perspective. We also read from 1Chronicles 24 as a means of clarifying further data in the book of Luke.
